The bulk update request #2244 has been rejected.

create implication four-poster_bed -> bed

Reason: A four-poster bed is an old fashioned, typically European-style bed seen in a number of fantasy anime.

@BrokenEagle98 Given that the Wikipedia article on Canopy Bed is illustrated by photos of canopies supported by bedposts, I'm guessing that the matter is far from settled over there.

I'm not sure the difference between four-poster_bed and canopy_bed is significant enough to be worth keeping two separate tags. As far as the the average layperson is concerned, both terms seem to mean the same thing.

There are plenty of RL examples of four-poster peds having no canopy though. Just one example of canopy without post and posters without canopy would break a combined tag.

The four-poster_bed wiki specifically states that it is for beds with the elevated panel, though. It is effectively a subset of canopy_bed, and since OP (re)created the tag a couple days ago, the two tags have almost completely overlapped one another. All but three of the posts tagged four-poster_bed were already tagged canopy_bed, and the remaining three posts are canopy beds too.

If there were an example of a post with the type of bed you're describing (four bedposts, no canopy), I'd be a bit more amenable to the idea of retaining this tag (and rewriting its wiki definition to include beds without the upper segment), but I can't recall ever seeing such a post on Danbooru — beds with upright posts that aren't canopy beds or bunk beds seem to be a rarity in anime art. As of right now, four-poster_bed is simply redundant, and that's before taking into consideration all the posts where it was apparently used in error. Several of the posts with this tag don't even have visible bedposts, and post #2147766 is quite clearly a different kind of bed altogether.

I found post #2852027, currently tagged canopy bed but without a canopy...

I guess that depends on how you define "canopy", then. I was willing to apply it to all beds enclosed by curtains on the sides, whether the top is open or not. Requiring the top to be covered as well seems like splitting hairs.

What's difference between canopy_bed and four-poster_bed?

Wiki request for canopy_bed and how to keep these tags seperated if we keep them both.

Four poster beds and canopy beds are almost the exact same thing. To be a four poster bed, the only requirement is to have four posts, one at each corner, the height of which doesn't matter. The key difference of a canopy bed is that the four posts are connected near or at the top, creating a perimeter to hang a cloth across the top, to create a roof(canopy), such as in post #2852027.

Basically, all canopy beds are four poster beds, but not all four poster beds are canopy beds. There are probably some untagged examples of non-canopy four poster beds on the site, but I couldn't find any.

I agree with this. Sometimes only the canopy is visible and sometimes only the bedposts are visible, but either way, they're usually the same type of bed.

In wikimedia there's an example of a canopy bed without four posts
