Reason: Both tags are used in exactly the same way, but cooler has a wiki and appears to be the preferred term, with more than ten times as many posts.

Why not an alias instead?

I was concerned that an alias would potentially be problematic if it ever becomes necessary to tag the kitchen appliance from the pre-refrigeration era. But it can still be an alias if that helps steer everyone to the same tag.

Can't we simply tag these as fridge/refrigerator?
Our wiki doesn't make a difference between modern and "ancient" fridges.

Went with the mass update. Ice box is too ambiguous a term to alias. It can be used to cover ice box cabinets (pre-fridge devices), ice coolers, and even refrigerators themselves (due being the replacement device the term carried over in use).
