junihitoe -> juunihitoe + related tags

Posted under General

junihitoe 十二単衣
um Double "U"?

Some images have the juunihitoe style, but they are not actually 12 layers. So should the tag change to layered-robe_kimono, layered_kimono, or multilayer_kimono? So it will wrap up any kimono relating to juunihitoe?

If there was a break down, you would end up making tags for every layer.

There are also tags such as
heian (an era)
karaginu_mo (A waist length Chinese style jacket. A part of the juunihitoe)
12 layer kimono (A juunihitoe)
itsutsu ginu kouchiki (5 layer kimono)
bijin I assume, woodblock prints. But the images are of women.

multilayer_kimono sounds good to me. As for all those other small tags, they all have between 1 and 10 images and strike me as something of a mess. They should either be applied more consistently if they're seen as interesting enough and have enough posts to be worth keeping, or just gotten rid of.

A typical kimono (today) has an underkimono, but it has no more than two. It's not meant to be like a juuihitoe, it's just for cleanliness and to protect the outerkimono.

The tag should be just for kimono from the old eras.

For a karaginu_mo, it seems like the only time you will see it is on a layered kimono (juunihitoe). So I guess it could be kept?

Well, I still think we should use multilayer_kimono. As for karaginu_mo, keeping it is fine if there are more images to apply it to.

I'd say just go ahead with those, as I don't have a lot more to add.
