Instead of inventing tags like Dark_Alice for posts like post #365993, maybe we should just have a general tag indicating that there is an evil/dark version of a character in that image (assuming there isn't one already). Like alternate costume, but more specific.

Stuff as well established/canon as Dark Sakura would stay, of course; this would just add to that.

Not evil_twin, because this isn't a separate character (twin) but the same original having changed.

Alter_ego isn't evil enough; I wanted to emphasize the dark aspect. Evil_alter_ego maybe.

And what about treating this like cosplay, with a general tag like evil_persona/evil_alter_ego and a general-typed tag with the character name and "_(dark)" qualifier?

And speaking of that, I like "dark" more than "evil" for the general tag, too...

Generally, I like evil_persona, with the only problem being that people might take it as an evil persona.

I like dark_persona a lot more than evil_persona. Evil is a bit... Well, one can be a dark persona and not be outright evil, I think.

I'm not sure if [character]_(dark) would be a good idea, I guess it would be okay as long as people remember to also put the original character tag (ala cosplay). I just worry that people will forget to do one or the other, "devaluating" the tags. I think that as long as you have the dark_persona and the character tag, it wouldn't be that useful/necessary to have a [character]_(dark), either.

The only purpose of the [character]_(dark) tag would be to specify, in an image depicting multiple characters, which of them has/have "gone dark". I don't know how often this happens, though, or if it justifies such tags.

Ah yeah good point! I guess it is useful, but my doubts about how diligent people are at tagging stuff like that remains.

I like dark_persona.

Cosplay has self-managed as of recently, I think out of the last 50 images I've fixed maybe 5 so people are getting it, in a bizarre twist more people seem to be forgetting the cosplay tag rather than the foo_(cosplay) tag.

As for this, I don't think foo_(dark) would be necessary as dark_persona dual_persona would be enough to cover a character appearing alongside their dark persona.

I like dark_persona better than evil_persona as well. Changing my vote.

But not when a dark version is appearing together with completely different (and non-dark) characters...

Should Saber Alter and Dark Sakura implicate dark persona?

Saber Alter implicates the original character, but Dark Sakura and Dark Rukia do not, and there aren't any implications to dark persona (should there be?).
