I've seen a few images like post #885587 or post #197433, by artists expressing joy that some series is getting an anime adaptation. Would this be a taggable concept? If so, what should the tag name be? animation_announcement?

Second seasons, OVAs, and manga serializations all get this treatment, too. Is announcement_celebration too general?
announcement_celebration sounds good to me.

I think animation_announcement or anime_announcement is still proper in those cases. And a bit more specific about what's being dealt with, unless we *want* it to be more general.
Well if we go with something more general it can cover images like post #889359, post #859344, post #850073, etc.
I still think those are appropriate for anime_announcement though. When I talked about making it more general I meant, like... game sequels or adaptations, drama CDs, more novels, continuation of a manga, etc etc. If we want to include all of those, rare though they may be, announcement_celebration is fine.
I guess it depends if we can even find examples of non-anime announcement art.
post #848465 and post #872107 celebrate the manga re-launch of K-On!
Would images of Youmu celebrating her renewed player character status, as in post #867552, fit this criteria?
If it is obvious to everyone (even those not familiar with the series) that it celebrates the announcement of the new game, then yes, if the tag is really announcement_celebration.
However, #post #867552 stands in no relation to the new game or even Youmu being playable. It's just the cover page of a doujinshi.
Since I just found post #659168 (celebrating the imminent start of a live-action drama series), I'm starting the tag as announcement_celebration.
