This tag is intended to cover expressions that are too gentle to be called a full smile (e.g. post #901540, post #904305, post #908375).

Basically if you see a very pleasant expression, but are hesitate to call it a smile, tag it light smile. Of course borderline cases can be tagged with both (e.g post #893620). So I wouldn't like an implication.
rantuyetmai /users/288549 tag:danbooru.me,2005:ForumPost/61782 2011-05-01T17:37:20-04:00 2011-05-01T18:55:03-04:00 @Saladofstones: Implicating light_smile -> smile. The wiki is quite vague and doesn't seem to indicate that this can't fall under the umbrella of smile.
Saladofstones /users/318380
