This also applies to any melee weapon (you know, for the rule of cool) as long as it has hilt and blade at one end.

If someone is holding a certain double-edge weapon with hilt, say like stiletto (kinda slender dagger), in reverse grip manner, can you point which direction the edge is facing?

i think plain reverse_grip (on post #60123) works just fine. analogous to crossed_legs with crossed_legs_(standing) and crossed_legs_(lying).

I would use parenthesis rather than colons, which are usually reserved for subtitles. So it would be reverse_grip_(edge_out) and reverse_grip_(edge_in).
