</blockquote><p>-1, desks aren't tables at all. They serve a similar purpose (they are both horizontal surface-tops for placing things), but are very different both functionally and visually (e.g. tables typically don't have cabinets or hutches, very often desks do). A <a class="dtext-link dtext-wiki-link tag-type-0" href="/wiki_pages/counter">counter</a> is as much a <a class="dtext-link dtext-wiki-link tag-type-0" href="/wiki_pages/table">table</a> as a <a class="dtext-link dtext-wiki-link tag-type-0" href="/wiki_pages/desk">desk</a> is. By analogy, it'd be like implicating <a class="dtext-link dtext-wiki-link dtext-wiki-does-not-exist dtext-tag-empty" href="/wiki_pages/sofa" title="This wiki page does not have a tag">sofa</a> to <a class="dtext-link dtext-wiki-link tag-type-0" href="/wiki_pages/chair">chair</a> because people sit on both.</p><p>EDIT: For full disclosure, apparently WordNet and Wikipedia disagree with me, both calling a desk a specialized table. Somehow that doesn't sound right to me though.</p>Shinjidude/users/1002tag:danbooru.me,2005:ForumPost/700842011-12-08T23:20:33-05:002011-12-08T23:20:33-05:00@Hillside_Moose: You mean implication, right?<p>You mean implication, right?</p>Hillside_Moose/users/85307tag:danbooru.me,2005:ForumPost/700782011-12-08T21:57:04-05:002011-12-09T01:54:20-05:00@ghostrigger: somewhat related to this, requesting tag...<p>somewhat related to this, requesting tag implication:<br><a class="dtext-link dtext-wiki-link tag-type-0" href="/wiki_pages/desk">desk</a> -> <a class="dtext-link dtext-wiki-link tag-type-0" href="/wiki_pages/table">table</a></p><p>EDIT: changed to implication instead. thanks.</p>ghostrigger/users/352944tag:danbooru.me,2005:ForumPost/336542010-01-09T10:56:22-05:002010-01-09T10:56:22-05:00@jxh2154: Yeah, moving to under_table.<p>Yeah, moving to under_table.</p>jxh2154/users/1309tag:danbooru.me,2005:ForumPost/336312010-01-08T22:52:11-05:002010-01-08T22:58:19-05:00@Hillside_Moose: Couldn't under_the_table be shorted to...<p>Couldn't <a class="dtext-link dtext-wiki-link dtext-wiki-does-not-exist dtext-tag-empty" href="/wiki_pages/under_the_table" title="This wiki page does not have a tag">under_the_table</a> be shorted to <a class="dtext-link dtext-wiki-link tag-type-0" href="/wiki_pages/under_table">under_table</a>?
