かえるACE(クローン)

Something of an odd case: name is "Kaeru Ace (Clone)", and he talks in his Pixiv info about how his art looks like Kaeru Ace's, but he's totally a different person. I think it's just a joke account by kaeru_ace, but I'm not quite confident enough in my ability to detect sarcasm in Japanese to be certain.

should I just put kaeru_ace_(clone) then?

May as well.

pixiv name is マカロニandチーズ
macaroni and cheese

You... seem to have answered your own question here. macaroni_and_cheese it is.

Artist name is 虹神 凛

First name is definitely "Rin", and seeing as how she didn't bother to give a reading for the last name on her blog, I'll presume the simplest reading: nijigami_rin.

Luckily, the previous munyumunyu is actually named yuge_sasatarou; "munyumunyu" is just the URL of his site. I fixed the artist records (I hope) and uploaded post #668163 to make sure I'd done everything right.

and 常葉

Could be "tokiwa" or "tokoha". Let's say tokiwa_(kitokito), to append his blog name.

aira (which while the direct way to transcribe アイラ, I think is the worst choice of the ways to romanize her name, Ayra is the most popular to call the character and Ira, being an actual name and used in the official TCG, is likely the intended name) is incorrectly listed as an artist instead of a character.

How does one fix this?

(Not exactly what the thread is for but...)

トネコ

toneko. Seems like it should be fine without any qualifiers.

there's already another artist named Y

Migrated the old artist to kayui_now, her Twitter username, since "Y" no longer appears on her Pixiv page. Go ahead and use Y for the new artist.

Uh... Sorry if I have gotten Jxh2154's policy wrong, but I believe something like y_(artist) or y_(circle-name-here) would be preferable.

I mean, in any case when the exact same string is even somewhat likely to be needed for something else in the future. I maintain that goes for all one-character strings.

hmm, I don't know the policy. I'll wait until Jxh2154 or someone else who knows tells me how. If not, I guess I'll try to look up the policy myself.

it'd help if someone put that link at the beginning of this thread

Er, yeah, in not-1-AM retrospect, 'Y' is pretty bad. Alternatives would be y_(y0_m0), using her Twitter account name, y_(yomo), using the info in the 'Name' field of her Twitter account, or y_(penta5), using her Pixiv directory name.

I guess I'll suggest y_(penta5), but I'd like to hear what other people say regarding solutions to this "Pixiv artist with no other online presence" dilemma that seems to pop up relatively often.

Roarchu, I wonder if the unambiguity policy has been officially summed up anywhere; I have noticed it by lurking.

Try searching the forum for "ambiguous" and then read posts by Jxh2154, you could get the idea.

...Ah. More specifically, search for "kiseki ambiguous". We are not talking about very short strings only, but also about very common names etc.

With no other websites or anything, a qualifier using the pixiv account name is usually the best.

So yes, y_(penta5).

The katakana literally says "zonmin", which sounds kind of Chinese... Indeed, their Pixiv username is "jongmin". I'm not sure how that would be romanized for Danbooru purposes, though.

Maybe Jongmin will do. I'll wait for other's opinion, if there are any.
