tag discussion: skyline vs horizon

personally, i'm inclined towards an alias. going by the posts, they're pretty much the same. is there any significant difference? some may need some cleaning though.

I've always thought of skyline being a view of a city and horizon for rural or ocean views.

that's one way of limiting the definition of skyline, and probably would work, but isn't it just plain cityscape?

I'd also lean towards skyline requiring buildings.

the requirement for buildings is fine for me. maybe something related:
