Solo tag usage discussion

before i use this new tag, i would like to clarify if single_character_focus should be free of solo thus both are distinct from each other?

i'm a little lost why solo was added again in post #1104511 or was that added by a script?

From my understanding of it, yes, they would be completely separate tags with no overlap at all.

MarUsca added solo back to that image after I removed it, probably because of his script.
(It would be best to add -single_character_focus to the search when mass-tagging solo from now on.)

My intentions of what this new tag should cover would be distinct from solo. It is a replacement tag for images that have a focus on a single character, but other characters are present, which currently has been a special condition that has been allowed under the solo tag.

Btw, it's fine to rename it to solo_focus, since that would make it easier for others to remember the name.

Oh shoot, I did it again, sorry. Unfortunately I can't add the tag, because my search limit is already at six (touhou chartags:1 -1girl -1boy -multiple_girls date).
Also, just to clarify, dual persona is tagged as multiple girls or boys only when characters interact with each other, right?

Okay, so now I just skip posts like post #1104511 with sex with faceless males, right?

When tagging solo, yes, skip them.

MarUsca said:
Btw, why is faceless_male tagged as 1boy? Is it supposed to be 1boy, faceless_male or both?

I believe faceless males should still be tagged with #boys. I don't think everyone does that, though.

By not interacting, you mean something like post #1366290, right?
I would only tag that as 1girl, not multiple_girls.

Yes, well this one is obvious. I mean posts like post #668723 (well here it's harder because it's a trap, but you got the idea)

Also, is mecha supposed to be tagged with solo no_humans, just solo or solo and gender tags?
Well, and nobody mentioned cases with 1 human and pokemon, yukkuri and other creatures. Should it also be single_character_focus now or solo or nothing except gender tag?

Seems like 2boys to me. And they are interacting, by holding hands.

So dual_persona all has to be checked now?
Seems easy, but I am already confused. Is post #27249 dual_persona or not?

Mecha are machines. Please don't assign them gender.

Okay, fixing now. But they still should have the solo tag, right?

Just to be clear for the sake of future uploads, single_character_focus would apply to group_sex and related images with only one actual character, right?

post #1367173, for a quick example, though I imagine it would apply to a very large number of posts.

I try not to tag images like that with solo anyway, and the new tag does sound helpful for narrowing posts down, so just asking to be sure.

Yes, your example would qualify for the tag since the focus of the image is on one character and everyone else is mostly out of frame.
