This is clever. But the two different Reds... I'm tripping balls. Looks like we've played as Red every three generations. Does that mean in the next gen...?
I find the attention to detail amusing, down to the angle of the head/eyes and the hairstyles well adapted even into the relatively simplistic GB/GBC/GBA games. All of them seem to be real characters in all the games.
Personally, I am a fan of Generation1!Leaf, so I especially appreciate seeing her here, drawn in various official styles. Also, I noticed that her DPPt/HGSS incarnation got some hair reflection in this image, that she did not have in the older post #1172741.
And I find it kind of funny that this image acknowledges that she did not actually appear in any game, by not having any color boxes below her name.
The GBA games had two different looks, the Hoenn Look and the Kanto Revamped.
Which you can compare by linking Hoenn games with Kanto games. If I remember correctly, FRLG!Red and FRLG!Leaf appear that way in Pokémon Emerald, and Yuuki and Haruka appear that way in FRLG (basically, with camera angles slightly different, depending on the game)
Calling FRLG and RSE different "Generations" is a little weird, but "Graphics Generations" clarifies the intended meaning.
