Not "More Christ" but a Mass (as in the Catholic sacrament of Eucharist) for Christ. A Mass in honor of Christ's birth, regardless if the day is totally wrong. Placed there to take advantage of the many other holidays around Winter Solstice for the old Roman Catholic Church during the days of the Roman Empire.

That makes more sense now that I think about it. And since the Romans knew what day he was born on it would have been easy to roundup and execute them had they dared celebrate it on the real date.
But who is going to question celebrating on the day to the god of invincibility.
