An online version is to be released around this week. I am recovering from the journey back home and merging the patch with the Reitaisai version so the online full version will be pre-patched.

Any world from Warugaki-san yet on how the game was received at Reitaisai?

I was present myself at the event handing them out. We got rid of them all within hour or so. Had to also apologise for the rest of the event that they were out. 200 copies was bit shallow side, but yea I don't have the monetary power like ZUN to burn thousands. This could be one of the reasons the info is sparse.
Logically I secure-reserved few for several specific persons who I knew would come or I would go to. ZUN was one of them.
I so far didn't track much streams / info on it, well Reitaisai just ended few days ago. Some twitter posts and other bits showing positive response. Found one archived livestream of a Taiwanese user AFONG who also came to my booth. Recognize the name because we exchanged business cards.
I think the report manga will put a better look on this soon.

I'm not sure why I thought otherwise...

Yeah, blank CDs may be cheap, but 1000 of them (just a nice, round number for what could have been a sufficient amount) will still be a fair chunk of change, especially when you're handing them out for free. There's also the time required to burn that many copies, and that's not even counting time/monetary costs for any packaging you might have had.

Of course.

Eagerly awaiting it. I was more thinking of the immediate reactions of people who came by the table, though. I imagine most, if not all, had seen the promo manga online.
Yes, the CDs are fully in colour + CD art, plastic protection packaging but no booklet (too expensive). The end result is looks quite professional I would say myself. The Japanese CD printing company delivered quality work.
The immediate reactions of people coming to our booth was they were major surprised and happy to see us all, not just me. Drill Chichikuri being revived was for a lot of people cheering moment.

You really joined Drill Chichikuri! Great job on reviving it.

Wow, slick. I'd put unit cost at least around $3 each if this were done in America. (That's raw cost for blank CDs, jewel cases, paper, color printing, trimming, burning and printing on the CDs, and assembly.) I suspect it cost more in Japan, though the production company may have been geared to provide good deals for low-count pressings.

Now i'm wondering the Hakurei Kanushi's reaction.. Also, otsukaresama, Helepolis-dono..
@TunaMayo, 乙でした~. I am not sure how his reaction will be when he sees Pierre. Perhaps he will be figuring out the mechanics to get to the true bosses might impact this.

You're quite correct. I did rough calculation just now with the money I paid aprox and estimate the costs is €2,20 per CD. The dollar / euro ratio is quite close to 1:1.
About the CD printing: I got help from a friend I know 'N-Forza' who asked DNA guys. This is the website they told us to use. http://www.tech-t.co.jp printing in NL would be roughly same cost but the shipping would be costly. Which is why I placed the order in Japan and let it be delivered to Warugaki's dormitory house.
It indeed allows quite budget pressing as well if you go for the slim case which is just front cover and thin case (no CD art or backside art). Or even cheaper, paper sleeve (I could do that myself at home :V). But I wanted to make this a memorial release and grant the full experience. It isn't no longer about the game to be honest but the whole artwork on the CD. This is how the inside looks: http://i.imgur.com/gFE3jQp.jpg (picture borrowed from a forum member which I met IRL too). It became like a collector's item: A drill chichikuri artwork enchanted CD case.
I had real fun at Reitaisai 12. Please look forward to the report manga all. You won't be disappointed. Not that Warugaki disappoints.
