Yukikaze the repatriation shipAfter the war, Yukikaze served as a transport ship to move Japanese soldiers back to their homeland, having transported over 13000 men. Demobilized transport ships like her carried people of various nationalities, so sometimes there were little quarrels on board. To ease the tensions, some volunteered to create the Yukikaze Orchestra. They played "The Repatriates Welcome Song of Yukikaze" to cheer up repatriating solders and civilians.
