Edit: Ah, I didn't see the commentary and thought she lost her legs as well since she's in a wheelchair.
Probably not a direct continuation to post #3258473, but yeah, this one is definitely inspired by the previous one.
Zeroyon does seem to revisit earlier themes and 'plotlines' while dialing up the heart-wrenching factor.
(IIRC the Admiral-dies-from-overwork-one is also similar to an earlier [unuploaded] comic where the Admiral explicitly commits suicide, but done more subtly and in a less contrived manner.)
Unlike last time, at least, I can vision an answer to this. As such, I'd say this isn't that much of a soul-crushing piece. Since I could find a way to not be crushed by it.
Just scrap her on paper, and work hard as a commander, while taking care of her, having she work for you. Even an amputee has their own way of being of use to commands. Even I can draft off some.
Death is just escaping, and I hate that. You don't even know what is beyond death. Why going that way? Is what I think. So even if it's just me and my selfishness, I'll not let her die off so easily and put her to some good work.
In case you can't see it, I'm angry with the way "she" is thinking. Or to be exact, the artist makes her think.
