One of the side effects of learning Japanese is the unyielding compulsion to translate everything you see, necessary or not. It's practically a disease.

Maybe its just me, but the novelty of it wears off kinda fast. I used to translate stuff really fast. Like i was actually having fun doing it. Then it started to become more like work. I still do it ofcourse, but i cut down so it still retains some of that fun factor for me at least.
At first, the thought and feeling i get knowing that i'm bringing the things i like to a non-japanese audience was enough to motivate me, but that eventually wasnt enough.

I've been there myself, prior to my debut at Danbooru. These days I just translate whatever I feel like. The moment it feels even remotely like work, I stop, be it in half comic or wherever.
