extended barrel
Used (on those very few occasions) when the barrel of a firearm is much longer then normal. For example, the Desert Eagle magnum semiautomatic handgun is available in a ten-inch barrel which protrudes well beyond the frame, but this is seen only rarely compared to the regular six-inch barrel.
