A personification of United States Navy Casablanca-class escort carrier USS Gambier Bay (CVE-73), named after Gambier Bay on Admiralty Island in the Alaska Panhandle. Her voice actress is Uchida Shuu.
She has the three stereotypical features of Western/American women - blue eyes, blonde hair and large breasts. Her hair is done up with large twintails that reach down to her shoulders. She wears a hairband in Measure 32 camo with radar antennae to one side. Her clothing consists of a blue collared shirt with breast pockets, alongside a belt and shorts in Measure 32 camouflage. She also wears gloves with a white top and black underside, as well as white thighhighs. The one on her left leg bears her hull number, which is also found on her flight deck.
She has a rather timid personality and generally sounds very meek and self-doubting due to her history, not helped by the common nickname for CVEs: “Combustible, Vulnerable, Expendable”, due to their poor overall protection. Because of this, she always looks as if she's on the verge of crying. She is also extremely fearful of her Japanese counterparts, especially capital ships, constantly worrying that they may fire upon her at any moment.
She is drawn by Akira; thus, she gets official alternate outfits frequently. One of those alternate outfits appears in a guide to the city of Sasebo featuring KanColle characters, in which she is shown in a beige/off-white sailor dress, with a blue hairband, white thighhighs, and loafers. She is holding a map and seemingly lost. Resulting fan art expanded on this "lost child" persona to the point she is likened to the constantly lost Hibiki Ryouga (pool #13799 has several of such fan art). Her Fifth Anniversary art features her holding a large bouquet in her usual outfit, save for the hull number on her thighhighs replaced with a "5th anniversary" emblem.
For the campaign with Lawson in September 2018, she was the designated character to wear the Lawson employee uniform in merchandise. The art in question features her with a large ponytail, a Lawson hairband, a Measure 32 skirt instead of her usual shorts while she carries a box full of "pacified" abyssal lifebuoys eating what is assumed to be the original contents of the box. A striped lifebuoy is standing behind Gambier Bay.
Her real life counterpart was sunk in the Battle off Samar during the Battle of Leyte Gulf after taking gunfire from Chikuma, with Yamato finishing her off. She was the only American aircraft carrier sunk by enemy surface gunfire during World War II.
