help:bookmarklet
The bookmarklets that Danbooru provides will help with most of the uploading process.
1. Uploads the largest image
Otherwise, it's possible to upload an image sample size.
2. Fixes the image source
It's highly recommended to have the source on Danbooru point to the post URL and not the image URL (see Help:Image Source).
Danbooru provides a mechanism whereby it is not necessary to fix the source of the upload after uploading, as it fixes the source as a part of uploading process.
Note: When using the bookmarklet from the actual image itself, additional steps are required in order to pass the post page as a reference so that Danbooru can get that data and source the image accordingly.
A. Chrome:
- Right-click the image
- Select and click Open image in new tab
- Use the bookmarklet on the opened image
B. Firefox:
- Right-click the image
- Select but do not click View Image
- Instead, middle-click View Image
- Use the bookmarklet on the opened image
If done correctly, the URL should have a filled in ref parameter, and the Referrer: field on the Upload page should also be filled in (below the size, above the scale).
C. Other browsers:
The source: metatag can be used in the Tags text box to set the source of the post after uploading if it differs from the Source URL link.
3. Upload all of the images of a set
The bookmarklet also provides a Batch to Danbooru bookmarklet that supports uploading all of the images of a post. It'll open up a page with links that will open the uploads pages for individual images.
