scott pilgrim
Scott Pilgrim is a series of graphic stories by Bryan Lee O'Malley .
The series is about Canadian Scott W. Pilgrim, a slacker and part-time young musician (and occasional "hip street fighter") who lives in Toronto and plays bass guitar in the band "Sex Bob-Omb".
The comic has several classic video game references in its plot. The author has cited that the game Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari (known outside Japan as River City Ransom) had a huge influence on it.
A film adaptation of the series titled Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and starring actor Michael Cera in the title role was released in August 2010.
A video game of the same name developed by Ubisoft for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade was released the same month.
