The bitch replacing them is one thing. Rubbing it in is another...
Oh come on. I'm not exactly doing a dance over her being a PC again either, but don't pretend like the reverse of this hasn't been happening every new release since she stepped out.

Youmu hasn't done much in fanart, Sanae on the other hand in various pics had been rubbing it in Sakuya's face (as well as the fact she's believed to have a bigger chest)

In fanon only my friend. Canon Sanae is on the same level as Reimu and Marisa when it comes to breasts. The only time Sanae even appears to have some small breasts is in Hisoutensoku, and even that's debatable due to her position. Sakuya might actually be bigger but not by much since its touhou.

Youmu's usually depicted as a straight man. It would be out of character for her to rub it in.
That annoying fan-boys and -girls and their anti-versions is a great way to get people talking (and thus advertising), perhaps.
I wonder if that's why Taso made Nitori an even bigger jerk than SoPM made her out to be. :V
At any rate, I have far more problems with 13.5 than the roster. There is much I like about it and yet much that makes me wonder if Tasofro suffered cranial damage.
I would have liked for Sanae to have been in 13.5, then to take a hiatus.
For her and the rest of the Moriyas to be mere background characters without any clear-as-neon reason is bizarre.
I'm happy Sakuya's back and I'm happy at a lot of what 13.5 brought us, but I have to wonder what ZUN (or more likely Tasofro) was thinking.
This. Its a game about an all-out battle between the various religious factions and the Moriya hHrine isn't even competing with a single representative? What? We have Nitori (I guess she could sort of be a representative for Youkai Mountain and the Moriya Shrine) and freakin' Koishi competing, but none of the Moriya Shrine gang!?

Apparently the 'battle' actually happened in Symposium of Post-Mysticism and everyone basically talked things through there, and Hopeless Masquerade was an entirely unrelated incident, so there's...Not really a battle, or at least not a straight-up slugfest.
Koishi actually winds up plot-centric in 13.5. It's too complicated to explain here, though.
While it has its own merits, I am dead certain they were banking on people thinking it WOULD be a big battle between the religious factions by accident since they hadn't read SoPM---they advertised it rather ambiguously, for certain.
Yeah, it's confusing, I know. I'm confused and convinced Taso was being dishonest on at least some level. I don't even know what's going on anymore---all I know is that I can forgive other issues I have with the game, but Tasofro should have spent another month or so on bugtesting and making sure the final boss could actually be used in Versus---not to mention getting a working Arcade mode in. I could have forgiven all that other nonsense if things had at the least gone *smoother*.
As things are, I think Tasofro's latest blessing upon the series is a mixed one, for a wide, wide variety of directly and indirectly-related reasons---on the one hand, we get things like flying combat in a Tasofro fighter and such marvels as Koishi's victory animation. On the other hand, the released product was rushed, buggy, and (forgive citing some subjective criteria) managed to displease---or at least nonplus---a lot of people storywise (I find Nitori's obnoxious attitude in the game is more than I can stomach, for example.)

To be fair, Sanae recently said herself, in the recent chapter of Wild & Horned Hermit that she whished that she could have participated in that incident, but Kanako said that partcipating in religious battles wouldn't really help the faith out all that much. Cannoncally speaking; Kanako, contrary to being a war goddess, perfers to take non-confrontational approaches to conflicts, and likes to perfrom backroom deals. [Spoliler/]
