Wow, this is actually really handy. Jeez, thanks Mokou. Now I'm way less likely to forget I'm cooking pasta and ruining it (which happens a lot). And thanks to Moonspeaker for the translation too.
Tested, it works. I tried hard italian thick tubes. Soaked for almost 4 hours for sure. After draining and pouring boilin' water tubes intantly changed color, like it was freshly boiled. Taste same as "normal" way, but I forgot to add some salt. So if you used to add salt when boiling, then it make sense to add salt when pasta is soaking.
Logically, this apply to any pasta any kind - difference is time needed to soak them.
UPD after meal: don't just pour boiled water (it was mistake), do as pic said - boil for minute or less on stove or Microwave oven.
Later I plan test thin spaghetti and write results here.
Thing about pasta is…it ain't gonna swell up an' melt into glop just from soakin' it in water. It just softens up. So if you soak it in water an' toss it in the fridge, you can store it for about three days. An' if you drain an' freeze it, it'll last about a month.
It so happens I'm gonna be immortal forever, but...
This might work well for making lunch side dishes in the morning!♡
②Pasta all softened up? Then toss it into some boilin' water. Since it's soft to begin with, you can boil it with just a cup of hot water.
It's all right...trust me!
③You can take it out of the water after about 1 minute. It'll be all done. Then eat it with meat sauce or whatever sauce you like. You'll be floored at how it's softer than if you'd boiled it the normal time!! For real!
①Soak your dried pasta in water ahead of time. Thin noodles'll soften in 1 hour, thicker noodles in 2 hours.
"Ain't they gonna go all gloppy," y'say? …. Not to worry. They'll be top-flight tender, just like your little cheeks.
It's...it's delicious, Mokou!?
Betcha think boilin' pasta's a pain in the tail, don'cha? Yeah, that's right… 'Cause you wait for a whole load of hot water to boil, then on top of that, you gotta wait a long time for the pasta to boil, right…? You think, "I just wanna make and eat this, chop-chop, but it takes so damn long," don'cha!?
You don't know squat-all…you don't know squat-all about pasta! I'm here to show folks like you the true wonders of pasta!!
With just one cup of hot water! In just one minute! We! Can! Boil us some pasta!!!
