Nothing is more tasteless than a bikini with an American flag design.
But if she's not wearing an american flag bikini how are we supposed to know she's related to America in any way?
Just for the record I'd love to see more bikinis with other flag designs. Except Canada. The Canadian flag is best used on a one-piece. Open-back. With a nice angled curve on the butt. Sorry, what were we talking about again?
Flag apparel is disrespectful and insulting towards countries.
I would agree when it comes from other nations, however the bikini American flag design happens to be a successful complain free from the Americans themselves since the 80's (patriotic clothing dates from even before World War I ).
I've always found flag business to be silly. The flag code could just about be simplified to "don't alter the flag or use it for anything ever regardless of intent, because you're going to do it wrong."
The flag behind her is styled wrong, it looks based on the modern 50 star flag, during WWII we only had 48 states, and they were in even columns rather than the modern back and forth offsets.

Liv Moore: [referring to Jerome's American Flag themed shoes] "Section 8 of the Flag Code states that the American flag should never be used as apparel, although enforcement of the code conflicts with your First Amendment right to freedom of speech as laid out in the 1990 Supreme Court case United States v. Eichman."

"The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery." (Flag Code, Section 8d)
Time to summon the MP's then?

Been waiting to use this one.
that seems to be between the sea and a hard place... I hope someone will resolve that issue.
It must be a cultural thing with the USA. In every country I've lived in you can see provincial or country flags used on anything.
You TRY and stop Brits from putting the jack ABSOLUTELY EVERYWHERE. It's almost like they have magic paint brushes that just paint the flag on whatever it touches.
It's all cool. The world's too big of a place to get bent out of shape over how one place interprets things.
