"Properly Paranoid" Acully. Before meeting Gudao, the only ones Medusa met that she could remember without having to think hard were Euryale (Petty Bully), Stheno (likewise) and Perseus (Spoilt brat with too much power).
If she can mellow out away from her status as Avenger and a human-killing monster (as in she has become something that must kill humans as a function of her very existence), you might be right. Stheno and Euryale's attitudes aside, Medusa did love them as sisters and they do care about her in their own way. She became this way trying to protect them until she went insane from her nature changing from goddess to monster.
However, it's also mentioned in Gorgon's profile that her isolation coupled with her altered nature makes her barely able to even comprehend humans as more than things that must die, and that her affection is something outside the reach of humans.
It does, though, hint that anyone who COULD earn her affection would basically win at life by having her power at their beck and call without restraint. Her Bond quotes even hint that she might start feeling that way, if you squint a little.

In Fate/Hollow Ataraxia, one of the skits is Shirou talking with Medusa about her past, and she explains her backstory up through Perseus arriving to kill her. She compared him to a successful version of Shinji Matou.
But yes, she did love her sisters and fought against all intruders to the Shapeless Isle to protect them out of love until she lost her sanity, due to how her nature as a spirit works in the setting.

Not what I meant. What I meant was; Was it Medusa who said that her sisters loved her and that it was her nature that turned her into a monster?

She did mention she loved her sisters and cherished their days together in hindsight even if it was tough being ordered around and teased constantly at the time. I'll admit I'm simplifying the "nature" thing, as explaining it is a bit of a mouthful, but she does walk through it a bit. I can elaborate if you wish.
Doesn't answer my question. Another way of thrasing my question - I think - would be; who - In story - said that her sisters loved her.
Ah. In that case, it's less clear because her sisters constantly tease her and we never see things from their point of view.
I suppose one could argue they didn't care, but the fact that they didn't NEED to go with her to the Shapeless Isle, but did so anyway and even sacrificed themselves to her willingly out of grief and sorrow for their part in her fall shows they had some strong attachment to her. It certainly sounded like a rather odd relationship.
Still not answers my question but I think I get why you keep misunderstanding me. When I asked who in story said her sisters loved her I was speaking litterly (As in litterly who in story said her sisters loved her).
Sorry it took so long to reply compared to before. Hollow Ataraxia is a big game to sift through, and work was rough.
Anyway, to answer your question, it was a 3rd person narrator explaining Medusa's past in Hollow Ataraxia. The context was as a flashback to her past, but the narrator is of the omniscient variety, rather than Medusa relating a story personally to another.
Well that would mean Nasu's creator skills were even worse back then then I can remember it was. The impression I got from what I read about the cutscene was that Stheno and Euryale took advantage of Medusa's selective oblivines born from her obsession with having genuine loved ones to bully her for petty reasons to the point of causing her to snap and murder them.
Did his skills improve with what he created after "Fate/Hallow Ataraxia"? The only good one I can consistly remember of the ones I know well enough is "Fate/Grand Order".
No, the narrator is the omniscient type, same as used in descriptive scenes. So whatever it says, goes. Medusa did actually love her sisters, and they did actually care for her, in their own way. Euryale/Stheno sacrificed themselves to Medusa to try and stem her rampage but it didn't work, so she turned into Gorgon.
It's even referenced in Medusa's Bond CE in FGO, her dialogue about her sisters, and other story interactions. Medusa (Lancer) talks about her desire to stay with her sisters forever but knows she'll grow up and change unlike them, and Gorgon refuses to go anywhere near her sisters, partly out of fear of their bullying, and partly because she's afraid she'll kill them again.
Not what I meant but nice to know (Really). What I meant was that some writers are so bad at writing in the sense that they will write something meant to be understood one way only for readers understand it diffently (In this case - From what I understand - what Nasu thinks is teasing is in reality bullying).
It was Medusa. Medusa by way of the narrator said she loved her sisters and her sisters loved her. I don't understand how you failed to understand that four fucking times.
