She is right, once the abyssal are gone. Shipgirls are like, the only thing that equals to the abyssal. So they are more or less a threat to humanity themselves
Do you remember where we were introduced to Fubuki as she was flipping through the air as her skirt was blown off, or how her admiral was just a lovestruck fool before we realized he was terminally ill? That's kind of what I'm thinking when I read this. You can't convincingly make the lesbian admiral also be the nihilist admiral if her only role was in a gag story without discussing it at some point. Not to mention the retcon of the other admiral's ringing all of his ships like nothing, which is now some kind of soul siphon, in a universe where shipgirls are magic anyways.
I'm just poking fun of course, but this is quite the mood shift from where we started. This kind of drama reminds me of Dragon Ball.
Supposing that the current target that humanity fears, the Abyssal fleet, is completely eliminated just what do you think that humanity will fear next...?
Each other? The entire Imperial Japanese Navy resurrected and stronger than it has ever been before?
Think about it, China and Japan hate each other's guts and an important part of maintaining the delicate power balance is making sure that the Japanese Navy doesn't become a threat to Chinese interests. With the shipgirls coming into play, Japanese naval forces here have become incredibly more powerful than they have any right to be simply due to necessity while Chinese naval forces have become absolute garbage and probably won't recover from the blow that the Abyssals dealt for a good long time if at all. Think about what that's going to do to international relations.
There will always be an enemy, and as such, always a need for admirals and shipgirls. Once the abyssals are gone, then its back to business as normal for humans; their incessant need to kill one another. Except this time, every nation with a navy now has access to superwomen who may be more than willing to serve their country.
You think the war against a common threat is bad? How about a war where everyone is your enemy? Shipgirl against shipgirl. Admiral against admiral. Nation against nation.
The only hope to lessen this is for the shipgirls and admirals to break off from their nations to form their own, one where violence is abhorred and shipgirls refuse to be manipulated. But its gonna need a strong foundation of admirals to keep it together, especially a certain bro who the shipgirls love...

Let's go all the way and call this country "Outer Heaven".
You...But in the end, that doesn't solve the problem. That once the seas are returned to peace, the existence of shipgirls and Admirals won't be needed...The real problems start from there.Do you really think our war will end......just by bringing back the peaceful seas?Supposing that the current target that Humanity fears, the Abyssal Fleet, is completely eliminated...Just what do you think that Humanity will fear next...?
