And today I learned that Japan makes a distinction between "yandere" and what they call "menhera" (A person that needs mental health help -> メンタルヘルス板にいるような人間 -> メンヘラー , or Mental Health-er -> メンヘラ)
- Menhera 1. Wants to be loved by someone else, loves themselves over all others 2. Will do anything for a person's attention 3. Fears getting their very self denied over all else; doesn't care about what happens to anyone else 4. In a line: "If you won't love me, I'll die right here!"
- Yandere 1. In love with a special person, and anyone else (especially themselves) doesn't matter 2. Will do anything for that special person's sake 3. Fears getting denied by their special person over all else; doesn't care about what anyone else thinks 4. In a line: "If you won't love me, I'll kill whoever's in my way!"
Basically it's the difference between the parent image and this child image. Learning new terms every eromame pic a day~
