Also: What the site says doesn't change the fact that the only requirement to evolve into a Gardevoir is level. Gender doesn't play a factor.
But anyway, isn't the Gardevoir in Mystery Dungeon confirmed to be female somewhere along the line in the script? I certainly always viewed it as a 'her' from the way it spoke and everything.

Some languages use masculine and femenine adjetives. Maybe, it's my advantage because I play the game in more than 1 language... For example, in the spanish version they call that gardevoir mostly as a female, but a couple if times I read adjetives on male form about gardevoir...
