Just wanted to get some feedback on how to properly tag inklings from the game Splatoon.
The one I'm most unsure of is whether the girl's hairstyle is twintails or short hair with long locks, and the boy's hairstyle is a topknot or a ponytail. Also, please chime in if anything else is missing or wrong above.
Once the details are fleshed out, I'll be updating the wiki to help future uploaders.

Given that the long locks on the girl are actually showing suckers like tentacles, I'm not sure that we should tag it as such.
Maybe it's better to stick with the more precise tentacle_hair instead and drop those? Only Marie/Hotaru and Callie/Aori would have what I'd call hairdos.
Tentacle hair describes the type of hair, but not the hairstyle itself. I'd agree that the girl inklings have the default hairdo, as when male inklings are shown with their hair unbound it's in the same style albeit with shorter hair, however it's still a hairdo. Octolings, Inklings, Aori, Hotaru, and other original characters all have different visualizations of tentacle hair in what I'd call hairdos, which I'd like to capture with a tag if possible. For now, I'm starting with the generic visualizations of the inklings (both genders).

Suckers and the fact they're not bound higher up - if anything, they're almost like large hair flaps, except I'd much more likely not tag them add hair at all, since they're very obviously tentacles on each side of the head for the girl inkling. For the guy, it looks much more like a hairdo, so it could conceivably be a topknot.
Those tentacles in the girl inkling aren't anything close to hair for me, no more than the tentacles on Wo-class' hat or the things on the side of shiteyan'yo are considered twintails.
True, I'd agree that it's not hair in the traditional sense (i.e. individual strands), but from all of the depictions I've seen it seems to be treated like hair in universe, as in it can be styled into various fashions as seen by Aori, Hotaru, the male inklings, and other various original/crossover/fusion characters.
The tentacle hair tag could almost be seen as a qualifier in this case, i.e. if that tag is present then the associated hair tags for that picture could represent the various depictions of tentacle hair (and not regular hair in the traditional sense). That way, those interested in searching for those various depictions could find them.
Tentacle_hair seems like a good compromise, as much as it is with someone like Ika Musume who doesn't have hair in a traditional sense. She too has head tentacles, and if it works for her, it works for the girl inkling.
Okay, I'll leave out the twintails/short hair with long locks on the girl inkling for now. If there's interest in the future for adding some kind of qualifier for that hair type, it can be readdressed at that time.
I'll add in the rest of the traits as seen above to the inkling wiki, and use topknot for the boy inkling's hairstyle.
