[bulk] Pokemon Sun/Moon Protagonists

Posted under Tags

The manga tends to run parallel to the games and tend to have their own continuity entirely (with White2 being an ex-Plasma member, X being a shut-in and Sapphire being a feral child).

We already haves separate tags for the manga characters, so I think that Sun/Moon should be reserved for them lest we cause all sorts of confusion.

What about the anime? Do they have counterparts there yet?

No, and I doubt they ever will.

For what my input is worth, I constantly see "MizuLillie" manga (because if the character appears at all, it's almost always in reference to 'how yuri Pokemon SM is!') and I have trouble recalling any reference to the character as Moon in Japanese. The fact that the characters are tagged as such in Pixiv should be pretty telling, as well.

So far Mizuki and You are the most popular names for them and were used in the PVs so I agree that should be the tags for their game versions...as for appearing in the anime no they haven't yet.

In my opinion I think the tags should work like this for now.
mizuki_(pokemon_sm) (moon_(pokemon_sm) -> mizuki_(pokemon_sm))
you_(pokemon_sm) (sun_(pokemon_sm) -> you_(pokemon_sm))

moon_(pokemon_special)
sun_(pokemon_special)

We should do female_protagonist_(pokemon_sm) -> mizuki_(pokemon_sm) since that's what we're using right now.

Bump, there's a lot of things supporting the idea in this thread. Also, I just searched "female_protagonist_(pokemon_sm) + translated" on here. The first one where someone refers to the female protagonist that showed up uses "Mizuki".

Regarding the order...
I think it's probably appropriate to mass update you_(pokemon_sm) to you_(pokemon)? That would be consistent with other character names from the series, like kasumi_(pokemon).

That's the standard, yes, but the issue is mizuki_(pokemon) is already taken by a different character and I wanted the two protagonist tags to be somewhat consistent. Plus these aren't official names, so I think adding "_sm" will help with recognition.
