What is the maximal tag for? Its only found in transformers and seems to be attached to less detailed art but other than that I cant find any common ground between the posts.

There is topic #12858 but it doesn't get much answers nowadays so it's probably better to start a new thread for questions like this.

After a bit of Googling, it seems they are a Transformers faction like Autobot and Decepticon.
I'm not too familiar with the series so I'll leave making the wiki to someone else.

They're the Autobot descendants, protagonist faction in Beast Wars / Beast Machine franchises.
