While cleaning the wreckage tag I have found quite a few tags for rubbish. I migrated litter to trash and scraps to junk but that still leaves us with trash, garbage, junk and debris.

Debris is mostly used for bits of mater sent flying from an explosion or impact but there are plenty of images where its all on the ground. Its also used for flotsam as in post #2681723 and post #2536043. Do we have a tag for that?

Trash is often used for soda cans and scraps of paper but also for less identifiable stuff.

Garbage seems to be used for the same thing as trash, only more of it. The only tag with a wiki but that states it must be in a trash can and that isn't how the tag is used. Many posts should probably be taged with trash bag instead.

Junk is mostly used for broken machinery and furniture.

All of the tags need to be cleaned up (pun not intended). I would really like to have some clearer definitions to help in that.

Tasteless joke aside, I'd alias trash and garbage (or just nuke either of them if enough people agree on that), since the uses and definitions look pretty similar. I'd keep the flotsam tagged as debris while also keeping the definition you've given above.

The definition for junk here is pretty good, too. I say let's go with that.
