Sure, that might be the modern rule. But the rule in contemporary English is that if an s occur's at the end of a word, it must alway's be preceded by an apostrophe.
*sigh* I'll go put them in the plural -> singular thread...
You fail at handling LaC.
At least there's only one of 'im; that hanging "LaC's" might cause some undesirable fill-in-the-blanks.

I thought that rule only apply's if you happen to be a greengrocer or in a similar profession?
