So I've been seeing a lot of images lately that have no text, but are tagged with translation_request. They do have a note (usually posted by the poster).
My question is, should these images with external notes be tagged with translation_request?

Also, should the wiki entry be more strongly defined as "a translation needed in intra-image text" or something like that?

He does that with every image he uploads and he has since he started, not that that changes anything.

It's not confusing if the person replying simply quotes him.

As for whether it should get a translation_request tag, I'm not sure. There's the commentary tag that points out such an artist comment is present though.

Hmm, I'm thinking since tags are for the contents of the images(minus copyright info/artists), the translation_request tag should only be applied to those which have the translation needed within the image. Though that's just a suggestion

I would appreciate a separate tag for commentary translation requests. It's a little disorienting.

While on the subject we should also implement a "translated" tag to go with it. rather than lumping the translated ones with the translated images, for example what if the image text is not translated but the comment is?
