Tag discussion: foot_hold and leg_hold

Posted under General

I was looking for a tag for a foot being held by a hand, and I suppose foot_hold is for that situation? Seems right looking at the tag, only one is different (post #485819 in the sense of "holding something with the foot", though I think between_toes covers something like that) The tag has a low count, though, so either it's a concept that's not tagged much or I'm missing a different tag.

Somewhat relating (being "hold"), there's also leg_hold and leg_holding. Should these all be aliased to -ing forms? (would be consistent with the arm and hand versions)

I've been trying to find a good tag for that too, but nothing came up. It's not tagged much, I'm not aware of any other tag. Temporarily we can just use foot_hold and sort it out once a suitable tag is agreed upon. Perhaps the descriptive foot_in_hand?

As for leg_hold, it seems to me like knee/leg_hug. Anything I'm missing here?

Seems like it's being used sometimes in sex acts where one partner holds the other's legs. But a lot of the images in it should be going to leg_hug, yeah.

For someone holding someone elses' foot, I think foot_holding would work to match hand_holding.

They seem somewhat consistent in _hold referring to something sexual and _hug referring to non-explicit images. Which isn't a distinction without merit, however nobody is going to know that just from reading the tag names. Is the solution in better wikis, perhaps?

Err, how do you figure? I've never seen this distinction in action, and it's completely non-intuitive to me. Plus I'd argue that post #518364, post #576463 or post #582416 are anything but sexual.

I said as much already: "nobody is going to know that just from reading the tag names." Of course hold vs hug is not intuitive at all. I'm just commenting on how they seem to be used so far and asking if we want to keep the distinction. And if so, how to distinguish.

"Somewhat consistent" was an intentional word choice. Certainly there are exceptions, I saw those images before I posted.
