If anything, it's more negative bias towards the Sonic the Hedgehog series in general rather than bias towards Sonic over Shadow. Anthropomorphic hedgehogs veer somewhat off Danbooru's core focus.

There's no "post #574061 logic". It's a hugely controversial picture, which you can clearly see. Two mods liked it enough to vouch for it twice, which is enough to make it stick under our approval system, but that doesn't make it into any kind of "logic". If you want to appeal that picture, do, don't otherwise. And it's a picture that's only interesting if you're madly in love with TMNT, which I'd contest is barely on-topic on danbooru to begin with.

I do/did want to appeal it, but wanted to identify that I find it more "odd" that "artistically brilliant", the same way that the "logic" example has merits beyond the typical highlights of posts (such as intricacy, shading, scale, etc.). A very minimalist representation of the turtles, especially pointing out the different greens they actually are, was interesting to me, though I can see that, technically, it's not much of anything.

I can see where you were coming from, but really invoking that post is a double-edged sword.
