Aliasing engagement -> proposal .

Reason:

-1, there is nothing under engagement and even then I don't believe it's used similarly as proposal (your proposal link is broken btw, you have an extra space at the end).

I've never heard engage or engagement used to refer to the actual act of the offer of marriage that proposing and proposal are used for.

Also engagement has other meanings that it could be aliased to as well, such as battle, as an engagement is also a"hostile encounter between military forces."

Since engagement isn't in use right now and can be ambiguous, as NWF notes, I'll refrain from doing this one.
