Tag implications: specific fruits -> "fruit" tag

Posted under General

I'm not sure if S1eth is being devil's advocate here, but clearly most of his examples aren't commonly considered fruit. They are almost all vegetables and nuts (even if a few are botanically fruit).

I for one support S1eth's accuracy, but he forgot to include coconuts on his list.

More seriously, probably best to stick to using only culinary "fruits" under the fruit tag.

I don't think that's a valid reason to omit a perfectly applicable tag. Depending on what you're looking for, I'm sure there's at least one other tag that can narrow down your search.

But, if it really is a problem we could create an ornamental_fruit tag for people like Tenshi and Minoriko to reduce clutter.

I think we came up with a similar solution for Sanae's frog ornament.

I make Rampardos's words my own. (in particular, "if it really is a problem we could create an ornamental_fruit tag"; I'm not necessarily saying we should have ornamental fruit now, only if/when needed)

*bumps*

I suppose the subject of "ornamental fruit"/"food themed clothes" is closed.

Anyway, please at least do the list of implications of the first message.

Some of the others, such as "tomato -> fruit" are botanically accurate but may be controversial for whatever reason.
