Tag Implication: creeparka -> hoodie/creeper

Posted under General

-1 to hoodie -> hood. It was already rejected in forum #64063. A garment can have an attached hood that is noticeable enough to identify that the garment is a hooded garment, but that doesn't mean the hood is actually noticeable enough to tag it with the hood tag (ex: post #945420).

I think we should rename the hoodie tag, because I just don't agree using the term "hoodie" to refer to any outfit with a hood. If you want a catchall for all hooded pieces of clothing call like hooded_clothing or something.

The hood tag itself is a catchall, so why hooded_clothing?

I agree with the idea of changing hoodie to hooded_clothing.

Hoodie is a sweatshirt variant of hooded clothing, so I'm going with implication.

We could just use hood instead of hoodie.

+1 for the idea.

There is no wiki for hood. I've always tagged hood as something seperate from any article of clothing.

Are you reading the wiki's? hoodie's wiki states any article of clothing with a hood attached. With that definition hooded_clothing sounds better as a catch-all

I believe there is a difference between hood and clothing that has a hood. I think the hood tag should only be used when the hood is obvious and actually being used. Garments that have hoods do not necessarily need to have the hood used or even be exposed to the extent that it deserves being tagged hood.

Using hood for when the hood is actually being used removes the necessity of a tag like hood_down, because all you'd do is a search of hooded_clothing -hood to find images where the hood is not up.
