Not sure I can argue against it for policy reasons, but they are fairly rarely mentioned. Also if I remember correctly "Irene" was mostly a retcon to fix the "Rally"="Larry"="not a feminine western name" thing. Policy would say we alias, as with very few exceptions nicknames aren't used as tags, but personally I'd be for keeping them.

I've heard something like that too, but like you've said, policy. For the record though I'm pretty sure that they use just May as much as, if not more than, Minnie May, so that should definitely be aliased imo.

Well, if Minnie May and Rally were the original official names (at least in Rally's case?), I'm not sure if it's a problem to keep them.

I support following the board policy, fearing that this one could be brought up as a precedent in some more controversial case in the future.

I can and will reject precedent if it's applied inappropriately.

But like I was saying, I'm not sure the precedent applies if Rally was the original anyway.
