Danbooru

Collection: Artist helper: Foreshortening

This is the first in a series that groups together images of particular interest as reference, source or learning material for artists. Danbooru is already an amazing place for such things but this should make it even better.

Foreshortening is the effect that an object is pointing at the viewer, by making it “shorter” than it really is (and enlarging the object). Getting this right is one of the “holy grails” of artists.
