The strange thing is though, what they did should have worked. Of course, they'd have ended up with steamed donuts, but those aren't as bad as they would seem. ...I speak from experience, having been the gueina pig of my family.

Close, actually, but much less dense-bread like. And a lot sweeter generally, but a lot of a Donut's flavor is dertermined by what one puts on it, like a good glaze or icing. They differed as to the texture by the batch (each a little different, for science), some were slightly softer than a dounut with a more airy texture while others were much denser (much denser than bread) and 'heavy'... but also much smaller, come to think of it those were a lot like dumplings. Rather interesting odd food. But I don't recommend trying it at home, some of those things made me want to puke.
Anyway, doesn't change the fact that pretty much everybody's guesses in the previous strip has been DENIED~ except for that one who bet that we won't get any curry.
