And those metrics are extremely arbitrary in all but a few games, where "true love" happens with differing point levels (and oftentimes, only 2 or 3 points), and are based mostly just upon how many choices there were in the game that involved that character at all, rather than some sort of building meter. (Major girls in every part of the story might need 7 points, while a side/hidden character only takes 1 point to get the ending.)
(In fact, RPGs with some dating simulation mechanic are more likely to have some sort of level metric where everyone starts out at 50...)
And that doesn't even get into the fact that the elementary school kids can sit there and say that obviously this guy they've never met has a maid fetish that's worth 30 points. (Which, again, they don't even bother coming up with what kind of meter those points are on...)
I mean, for all they know, she's in love with Kyon, and that ponytail is worth 40 "points" right out the gate, and he's bored with maids, already, but really likes the bunny girl outfits, and would love some fox eared miko thing.
Out Count: Tamaryuu - 7 Sara - 8 Catherine - 6 Elly - 10
I'll be temporarily teaching math. I'm Kagurazaki Haruno. Let's get along~But, the maid unfairly uses the fact that she's a maid to get ahead... In this case, how much should her affection points increase?11:55 AM These Feelings, Please Reach Him!Nice to meet everyone! Ah, I already know you, Tamaryuu.Kagurazaki HarunoHuh? One ball is missing!Ubmph!ELLY OUTStarting from the left, it shows the affection points from a certain guy for his cute kouhai, a maid, and a widow. Since all of them are close to him, they all start at 50.Nfufufu!Take this graph for example...Yeah. Something around there. That's enough. Stop eating things that look like beans.Don't worry, it's right here.11:30 AM Math? ClassI-...if the guy doesn't have a maid fetish, then, umm...30? or something around there. In these circumstances, in order for the cute kouhai to jump ahead of the other 2...TAMARYUU CATHERINE ELLY OUTHihahahaha...First, let's start with some mental exercises. Place these balls in these slots. The color of the ball determines their weight, so place them so that the "=" is between ones of the same weight. It's like a game.Heh, looks fun.Use a scale to find out the weight of the balls. Here's 5 blue ones. And then 1 blue, 1 yellow and 1 white balance with a green... Should we place them like this?A blue is heavier than 2 yellows, and lighter than 2 reds, so will a yellow and a red balance?A yellow is 2 whites, right? A red is equal to a white and a yellow so shouldn't it be 1 white, 2 yellow and 3 red? Please don't ask elementary school students. And then the widow displays her older charms, and though she isn't quite at the maid's level, her affection points increase before anyone realizes it! They shoot up by about 20!...what should she do!?Phft!Mmph!
