7.62mm x 54 R and 7.92mm Mauser are arguably more powerful than 7.62mm NATO though. And if they are willing to physically-alter their guns, adding a Picatinny rail to each of the three weapons likely isn't difficult......
EDIT: Early SVT-40 and most G43 have mounting for scope rails as standard. So I guess we can assume that only MAT-49 requires permanent modifications whereas the other two need only custom-made Picatinny rail adaptors.
