While I love this artist's version of KanColle children as modern JMSDF ships, little Mutsu/Mirai here has to be my favorite - it makes sense that one unfortunate ship would give birth to another unfortunate ship.
Working on the artist's logic though, poor Nagato probably doesn't have a daughter of her own...

My, my-Mutsu, age 33
Housewife. Unlucky ageI couldn't give birth to her in Oominato.Mutsu was planned to be launched in Oominato port. But because of protest from the locals, she's denied from the port and have to do her test run in open sea.RustleMirai
Loves observing things.
Originally Mutsu, Japan's first nuclear powered civilian ship completed in 1972. Radiation leak incident caused the ship to receive protest from locals and overhauling continued until 1991. Decommisioned on 1992. Reactor is removed on 1995 and she's taken by Japan's marine research agency to be converted to research ship Mirai.
Not related to the Aegis Cruiser from Zipang.Mutsu, age 33 and Mirai-chan
