I didn't even realize Prince Eugen was involved in Operation Crossroad she was completely over shadowed by Nagato, even more surprised she survived and was able to be moved. I have some reading to do
I know this is a personal gripe, but I feel naturally disgusted towards pictures like these that depict something like Op Crossroads in such a serene way. I'd like to see someone make a picture that shows what the girls'd look like in accordance with what happened to the ships when they got nuked. I feel like pictures like these kinda mislead the viewer, even if that's not the artist's intention.
That being said, if my research is correct, accurate depiction of Prinz Eugen would show her ass up as she sinks
If you want an accurate depiction, Sakawa will be shown to be burning for 24 hours. And not many artist has the courage to draw that.
I think fan art like this is more acceptable, than to have the same image but instead have pieces of the shipgirls floating in the water. I can't stand guro.
Here you have two girls that are floating on the water, considered to be dead, and one is looking for someone to take her back to shore. Fine by me.
Do you want to invoke horror/disgust or sorrow? Cuz artists that go for shock value on a subject that people are sensitive to need to be SHOT.
Yes, yes, you don't need to do this aggressive hatefest every time someone even so much as mentions guro or Everyday Monster Girls comes up.
Still, take a deep breath and realize that people don't have blood just to piss off the people with haemophobia. There are plenty of much-enjoyed stories out there where characters or actors play at serious injury because they are necessary for the type of drama they are trying to portray. It's your choice not to like what you don't like, but it's a little much to deny the very existence of other points of view.
