In order to better realize the problem, I want you two to imagine her hands (at their current size) rotated and translated until they are pressed against her cheek.
Ridiculous, isn't it? With such a small head, her hand is immense. So the problem is one of proportion. Because some of her proportions are stylized as feminine, if she is proportioned realistically in other ways, it breaks the image.
The moral of the story is not that I am a wrongthinker for attempting to impose unrealistic standards of beauty on women, but that you two are in the wrong for attempting to impose your politics on more or less objective issues of artistic proportion and style.

Preach brother! Besides, ideals are what drive us to make reality better. A gun toting bunnygirl like Reisen will never exist waiting for me at home, but I keep the dream anyways and just find a nice girl willing to cook and do what she can. I work out but I never get that fabled six pack even though I can run for miles straight, drag two people in full equipment and shoot 50 cal rifles on my hind legs. That doesn't mean I take offense when girls ogle muscles. It's just reality.

Ideals are what make people unhealthy or out of reality perceptions too, but that's not the problem here. Half of Japanese style drawings or even more stick to wrong body proportions. This is just a case of "not Japanese style looking, not of my taste" with an excuse.
