And let's hope it stays that way. Please keep this place relatively meme-free. Especially of memes with ever-increasing ties to fucking neonazis; call them alt-right all you want, they're neonazis, plain and simple.
Yes, keep danbooru with images of bestiality, rape (and sexual abuse), bondage, High Quality (WTF?) Guro, (and all together), vouyerism and all the other accepted things here, because they are "High Quality", and we are the good people.

Yeah, because until those problems are addressed nobody is allowed to complain about any other problems.
If you go into a hospital with a broken leg and a broken finger, it's totally ok for them not to acknowledge the finger until they deal with the leg, right?

They will note it on primary survey and deal with it after the gravest of wound has been adressed. If the broken finger more dangerous than the broken leg it'll be dealt first, if needed. So if there's one post like this instead of many post uploaded from either a low quality site or with banned content, be sure that everyone will notice it and tag it as 'banned content'.

We have a whole tag for pictures like that called "meme", hec - we have pepe the frog, Trollface, and hundreds of other memes. So... what's the point? And how the goddamn frog is connected to Neonazism? No - this picture shall not dissapear from danbooru and it does not ruin it in any way.
I've read about the creator, Matt Furie, responses about Pepe becoming a hate symbol, and he's sad that a character that he created decade ago, a blissfully stoned frog that enjoyed a simple life of snacks, soda and pulling his pants all the way down to go pee, and a popular meme...Now become the symbol of hate, thanks to the election.
You know, it feels like the same thing done to swastika symbol, a sacred symbol on Hinduism now become synonym with Nazi. And some people couldn't even tell the difference between the Hindu Swastika, Nazi Swastika...And don't even get me started on Manji symbol. (Heck, i've some arguments in the past about Nazism in early Bleach, because of Ichigo's...Tensa Zangetsu...==d).
Hell, i even remember that there's a very good, monstergirl doujin, that is not even just expunged, it gets DELETED from a site, just because the artist pen name is using a manji symbol...and of course some people couldn't spot the difference and get triggered.
Never blame the object. Blame the people that using them the way that they shouldn't. And in Pepe's case, just remember that he doesnt't even have any ties to neonazi for a frickin' decade, until USA's 2016 election.
Don't you just love how people have no problems with gore, necro/pedo/zoo/navy/other stuff-philia, even quadruple amputations, but a meme that has been claimed to be [insert leftard slur here] is enough to cause a massive triggerfest? I swear on Hitler's remaining testicle, that people need to reconsider their priorities.

I feel like I'm making a huge mistake by jumping into this firestorm of a comment section, but this bothered me so much I just wanted to address it.
First off, I'm one of those people you talk about -- that are okay with gore, blood, electric torture, amputation, acrotomophilia, apotenmophilia, you name it and I've likely seen some form of it in one way or another. So I might be in a position to be ridiculed. You may not respect my tastes, but I want to at least respect your concerns so in turn you can respect mine.
In the first place, whatever Danbooru's mods accept or don't accept is to their own discretion, and it indeed has led this imageboard to arguably be the most high quality oriented booru-like board out of all of the major boards I know of. Regardless of how much you may dislike them or what they do, the same people you discredit are most likely also lumped in with the same people that make this site great to use, and one that you can browse for days on end for whatever fetish you want or if you're trying to find sauce for a particular image.
But that's not the only thing.
Comparing one or more problems to another to justify said problem in such a domain is a moral equivalence fallacy, specifically the fallacy of relative privation. By that same token, anything can be justified just as long as it is seen by the arguer to be "less bad" as whatever other problems exist in such a domain -- and it's kind of scary. It leads to the normalization of ridiculously biased viewpoints that constantly undergo this self-feedback loop of confirmation bias. Think of Gary Johnson when he says global warming isn't such a bad thing because eventually the sun will engulf the Earth and it will be meaningless. You wonder how he got to that conclusion, what news he's been reading, and which people he's been talking to. We don't question their processes; we judge their conclusions.
And it's just one problem that's led to this large dichotomy of American society in politics in relevance to everything we are, what we do, and what we consume -- memes, anime, music, even the sneakers we buy (hello New Balance?). We're divided on so many things because we won't listen -- and think about each other and each other's viewpoints. I want to tread lightly here, but can you imagine such a world where to like anime is to be a social outcast, a degenerate, one that is a deviant to society? We take these things for granted and yet in only the snap of an eye when something happens that discredits us may happen, we're going to be the ones to take the fall. That's how it's happened for people of Islamic faith, and that's what may be due for us too -- especially with the proliferation of social networking and the media.
Tsutomu Miyazaki is probably my runaway example here but Pepe was never the first. When news picked up on the "Otaku murderer" it led to the huge scrutinization of otaku culture, the same culture that in the present day we might see as somewhat normal now. As perhaps acceptable. And just as KowaiTeitoku said, Pepe's acceptance by a part of some radical society to be some sort of hate symbol has led to it changing in meaning. Pepe was never racist, just as the swastika was never racist or to wear a hijab never meant that you might be a potential terrorist.
In conclusion, I think echo chambers are the most dangerous part of media we have today. We (not you or I in particular, but in general) use so little thought when it comes to browsing our content through facebook, twitter, and our other social networks that all we see are just headlines, and then we run off on that. Critical thinking is important, and the lack of it may perhaps be the greatest boon of American (or Western) society as a whole, as it throws a wrench into our reasoning and thought processes.
Danbooru allows for memes because they offer hilarity and comfort. And I think that's fine. This imageboard as a whole, as I believe, has never, should never, and would never stand for something it isn't, and that is a place where others would be biased judging on their taste in anime style art.
Anyways, I apologize for ranting on, and same goes to the mods. If I said anything out of line, I sincerely apologize, but I really wanted to get this off my chest.
Well, it is off-topic. Saying that that's "complete nonsense" isn't putting forward a reason for that. throwing your hands up about something doesn't make it more compelling. And while going through the meme tag I'm not seeing anything even nearly approaching how off-topic this post is, deferring to other posts wouldn't make the one in question on-topic. Who cares if someone dislikes something?
Why Hitler or offensive speech is being brought into this is beyond me. The flag makes no reference to hate speech or whatever. Don't force the discussion into some easier to address topic that has nothing to do with the challenge to the post.
NO ONE flagged it for that reason. No one flagged it because the far-right use pepe, no one flagged it over a meme, it's just an off-topic image. You tore down your own sandcastle, burned a straw man, none of this has anything to do with the flag.
