Tried consulting a doctor? Drink some milk? Take a lil bit of sleeping pills maybe?
I have been to them in the past, not super-helpful. I do drink milk. Sleeping pills (especially those that you can get in Japan) either make me sleep too much (we're talking 10+), make me drowsy all day, or have rather adverse effects with other medication. (I do take melatonin and Vit D though)
Considering that I've had insomnia for the better part of two decades, and done the whole sleep clinic thing and stuff, I've just had to make my peace with it and deal the best that I can.

I take two big holidays a year (I think you might be able to guess when). There is Golden Week coming up soonish, but that's the worst one in recent years, since it's only 3 days off in the week, rather than the full 5.
