Remember that sliding doors (and windows) aren't quite common in European cities where swing win/doors are the go-to architecture, given their weakness unlike hinged ones. Sure, you can complain that even in first century Pompeii they already have sliding doors but it doesn't really count-
Also, the concept of this anime is great. Using the infinite worlds theory that every bit of setting and information that we created may be exist in different universe, and when something goes awry, for example, say one of your chuuni character drawing became sentient and somehow started to link your world with the alternate realities where monsters and magics and mechas and whatnot exists who to blame? The creator or the created?
It would work with a shorter blade, giving it a force then letting momentum do the rest while withdrawing the sword before it bonks the frame, but the blade is too long and the motion is too swift to make sense anyway.

Except her body isn't parallel to the motion, which means the blade is either being twisted or pulled out at an angle, while its inside the window pane. Either way the window should be completely shattered or filled with spider web cracks.
